Dear Dave,

I would like to take this opportunity to say "thank you" to you and everyone at PRIDE Heavy Vehicle Renovation for the wonderful job of restoration that went into Shelbi's special 1949 Chevy Truck.  The transformation was truly remarkable.

It saddens us all that Shelbi died before she got to see her dream brought to completion, but that in no way diminishes the amount of love and effort that went into the restoration.

It was obvious at our last visit to Tomoka State when the truck was completed, that everyone took great pride in what had been accomplished.

The truck will forever be a memorial to Shelbi's sunny smile and enduring love.  Her father is planning a large celebration in Brooksville, Shelbi's home town to celebrate Shelbi's life and also raise funds for the Children's Dream Fund.  The truck will "take center stage".

Inmate Rossi has given us an estimateof $9,240.00 as the approximate cost of the work that PRIDE did.  We need this figure to assess our in-kind donations.  Judy told him that it was not necesssary to send an invoice for that amount, but on second thought I think it would be good if we could have something from you to verify the final figure.  Auditors like that kind of think, as you know.

Inmate Rossi also asked if we could provide you with some type of written document about the story of Shelbi and her truck, that might be published in the PRIDE newspaper.  I am enclosing a piece that I hope will "fit the bill".  If you need something else please let me know.

There is no way of saying "thank you" enough, but just be assured that everyone here at the Children's Dream Fund will remember all the help you and your men have been to us.

Sincerely,

Back
