Treated Wood

PRIDE reduces the need for costly replacement of decks, fences and docks for up to 25 years. Each cut piece of lumber is thoroughly pressure treated with a preservative to insure the longest possible life for all of your structures.

The forests are managed through the utilization of a multiple use system, which provides for wildlife, recreation, improved water quality, and timber production. Most of our acreage is managed in cooperation with the Florida Game and Freshwater Fish Commission as part of the State's Wildlife Management Area System and serves as regulated hunting and fishing area. Our forests are managed under the sustainable yield concept, which insures that we do not deplete the resources in our care and only annual growth is harvested.

At our facility in Raiford, Florida, we handle all phases of lumber production, from harvest to finished product. We operate a sawmill, planer mill, post peeler, and pressure treatment facility. Lumber is harvested and brought to our yard, where it is sawn, planed and treated, to provide long-lasting, high-quality lumber products.

Lumber can be provided in any dimension up to 12" in width and 16' in length; posts and poles can be peeled from a diameter of 2" up to 10" and as long as 12'. Pressure treatment preservative CCA (Copper Chrome Arsenate) or other non-arsenic preservative may be applied to any order from .25 lb per cubic foot for general exposure up to marine treatment of 2.5 lb per cubic foot.

Many applications for CCA treated lumber have changed over the last few years and are not applicable to current regulations.  Non-arsenic treatments are available up to .4LB/ft3. Different treatment applications are available to fit your specific needs.

The following is a guide for your pressure treatment needs:

Exposure to the elements 0.25 lb/cubic ft.
Ground contact 0.4 lb/cubic ft.
Splash zone of marine or submerged fresh water 0.8 lb/cubic ft.
Salt water submerged 2.5 lb/cubic ft.

Please contact us for lumber prices.  We can provide quotes for pressure treatment needs higher than .4 lb/cu ft.
